Want to buy something on Wallapop in another city or prefer not to meet the seller in person? We explain how Wallapop delivery works, how much it costs, and all the secrets of this service offered by the peer-to-peer buying and selling platform.
Although the original idea was for Wallapop users to buy and sell goods in person, this greatly limited the platform’s capabilities. Not to mention privacy and security issues.
Wallapop was created to solve these and other problems. But do you know how the Wallapop delivery service works, how much it costs, and what its requirements are?

Wallapop Delivery is a platform service for the safe delivery of published goods over short and long distances. It is an alternative to hand-to-hand delivery, and it is up to the seller to decide whether they want to offer their products through the delivery service. In this case, the message “Delivery available” will appear in the list of items.

How to sell using Wallapop Delivery
The first thing a seller must do to sell an item using Wallapop Delivery is to activate this option in their listings. The “Activate shipping” button must be green.
In addition, you must also confirm the shipment when the buyer selects this option. Finally, you must properly package the item and deliver it to a Seur or GLS point, take it to the post office, or ask the carrier to pick it up at the specified address.
Wallapop Delivery and traditional delivery: comparison and differences
Prices Wallapop delivery is pre-agreed with transport companies, so they are usually more affordable. Another advantage of this service is that the buyer’s address is completely confidential, as the seller only receives a code. Similarly, Wallapop delivery provides more guarantees to the seller and buyer, especially if a problem arises during delivery.
The disadvantage is that you have to pay for insurance (the aforementioned Wallapop protection). Added to this are restrictions on the value of the item being sold.
However, it is safer to use the “official” channels offered by the platform, unless users trust each other. Because if you decide to use external channels, Wallapop is not responsible for money or lost items.
